V/Ball: 13 Male 6 Female Teams Battles For Promotion To Premier, Divison 1 In Kaduna

Six male and 6 Female volleyball teams will be slugging in out in the finals of the division one league in Kaduna for two each of the teams to secure promotion to the premier league.


Similarly, seven male volleyball teams in the division two category will also battle it out amongst themselves for promotion to the division one category.


The finals of the league one and two which is holding at the Gymnasium hall of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna started on Friday 21st October, 2022 with eight matches to be played daily and will climax on the 29th of October.


Addressing a press conference shortly after the technical meeting with coaches of the various participating teams, the Technical director of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Mr Martins Melandi said, two teams will secure promotion from the division one to premier league while two will be demoted from division one to division two.


He further said, two teams from division two will gain promotion to division one at the end of the league finals.


The technical director gave the names of the participating male teams in division one as Caliphate Spikers, JVC Bauchi, Usem Enugu, Katsina Volleyball club, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Spartans of Yola while the male teams for division two are Adamawa, Chief of Naval Staff, Plateau Rocks, G-Rank Spikers, Bayonets, Taraba and Benue Swords.


For the female teams playing in the division one category, we have the Bayonet Spikers Kaduna, Yelwa volleyball club Bauchi, Chief of Naval Staff, Olalomi super Angels Offa, Kwara State, Anambra Angels and Life Camp, Abuja. 


All the participating teams are in high spirits for the finals.
