2023 POLLS: PWDs In Northwest Endorse PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku

The Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), in Northwest Zone, Nigeria have endorsed the People's Democratic Party's presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for president in the country.

The endorsement was made during a town hall meeting organised by the PDP's Persons with disabilities for "Atiku 2023", which was recently held at Arewa house in Kaduna.


Speaking at the event, the Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, said "we decided to support Atiku Abubakar because he's the only candidate that's invited us and also  involved us in  his campaign council.

 

Senator Hayatu however revealed that, "when he invited us to celebrate the International Day For Persons With Disabilities in Abuja, he promised to provide five percent slots in his cabinet to represent PWDs in the government if elected.

 "This is why we organized this summit in order to mobilize our members in all States in the zone, for them to be informed on the offer by the PDP'S presidential candidate to further take it to their respective States, local government, Wards and the polling units."


In his addressed the Deputy Director North, PWDs' PDP presidential campaign council, Mr Ephraim Balarabe, called on the PWDs members to come out enmass and vote for Atiku Abubakar, because the county is looking for some one that's credible, integrity, energetic and competent to work for Nigeria.


Also, Speaking at the event, the Women Representative, Hajiya Aisha Aliyu, appealed to politicians not abandoned the women especially the married ones.


"We have not appropriately benefited from the government, I assured that all the PWD women are going to cast our vote to Atiku Abubakar for the next coming elections.


While addressing the journalist after the event, the Coordinator Zamfara state PDP-PWD campaign council, Alhaji Umar Shehu, urged all their members in various states to make sure they vote for PDP from the grassroots up to the national levels.

"I however call on the PWDs members in Zamfara state to massively vote for Dr Dauda Lawal Dare for his commitment to save the state from menace of insecurity, poverty, unemployment and mismanagement.
