Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has been applauded for his sustained and determined effort towards restoring lost glory in Education sectors in the state.
The National Association of Kaduna State Students, (NAKASS), Kaduna State University KASU, Ambassador Ibrahim Suleiman stated this, during a Press Conference organized by the students union body in Kaduna.
Ambassador Ibrahim Suleiman appreciated Governor Uba Sani for fulfilling his electioneering campaign promise, made to the students and their parents during the last Governorship election campaign in the state.
He explained that the hike in school fees has led to a low turnout of students in the various tertiary institutions in the state, as most parents cannot afford to pay the school fees.
Ambassador Ibrahim said with the reduction of school fees some of the students and parents have started going back to various schools for admission.
He charged both students and parents to rally around the administration of Senator Uba Sani, to succeed in the state.
In their separate remarks, the students Presidents College of Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery Makarfi, campus, School of Nursing Kafanchan, and Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Zaria expressed delight over the reduction of the school fees by the state government.
They also called on some students who are agitating for more reduction to exercise patience so that more dividends are coming.
