Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani has described as a significant achievement the gold medal won by Team Kaduna Cycling at the ongoing 7th edition of the National Youth Games in Asaba Delta State.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, the Governor said the win has brought pride to not only the team but the entire Kaduna State.
Governor Sani commended the team’s exceptional performance during the 80-road race.
According to the statement, "the Kaduna State Cycling Team also earned a bronze medal, during the 10-kilometer Individual Time Trial (ITT), to add their success at the 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.
"These accomplishments at the games are a reflection of the dedication and diligence of the cyclists, coaches, and management in ensuring Kaduna remains at the forefront of sporting excellence in Nigeria".
"To further boost the morale of Team Kaduna at the ongoing games, Governor Sani has also directed the Kaduna State Commissioner of Sports Development Professor Benjamin Gugong, to immediately visit and interact with the team in Asaba, Delta State. This, he stated will ensure that they put in their best to emerge top winners at the end of the National Youth Games", the statement added.
