Kaduna Chapter Mourns Passage Of SWAN President's Father





The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kaduna State Chapter, has expressed deep condolences to its national President, Isaiah Kemje Benjamin,  over the death of his beloved father, Pa Isaiah Boyi Isreal, in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State.

A statement jointly signed by its chairman and secretary, Shehu Abdullahi and Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson respectively, described the death which occurred in the early hours of today as sad.

According to the statement, the Kaduna Chapter, where Isaiah Benjamin was its immediate past chairman, is extending its condolences to the bereaved family, friends, associates, and relatives.

"Our condolences go out to our President, Isaiah Benjamin at these trying times. Losing a father is not an experience anyone wants to have, though it is inevitable.

" Our consolation is that he lived a good life and impacted positively on his community and Nigeria at large, through nurturing of children who have all grown up to be successful in their various fields of endeavor," it said.

It added, "On behalf of the executive and members of Kaduna SWAN, we pray for the repose of the soul of Pa Isaiah and for God to grant our president and the entire family the fortitude to bear the huge loss."

It would be recalled that Pa Isaiah passed on at the age of 92 in Lando Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State, in the early hours of Monday, September 25, 2023. 

He is survived by his wife,  seven children, brothers,  sisters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
