Borno State To Collaborate With Federal Government To Provide Affordable Housing

Borno state government has pledged its readiness to partner with the federal government to provide land for the construction of affordable housing units in the state.

The General Manager of Borno State Housing Corporation, Architect Aminu Shehu disclosed this to newsmen at the National Councils on Lands Housing and Urban Development in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development held in Kaduna.  

He explained that Borno state has sufficient lands that can accommodate large numbers of housing units for those liberated from the insurgents in the state. 

Architect Aminu Shehu said the Borno state governor, Baba Gana Zulum is up and doing to see that those in the IDP camps are back to their real settlement.  

He charged the people of the state to rally around the administration of Professor Zulum to enjoin more dividends of Democracy in the state. 

Architect Aminu Shehu also explained that with North-East Development Commission and the state government are doing their best to provide low-cost houses particularly, to those affected by insurgents in the state.
