The Petroleum Tanker Drivers branch of the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers ( NUPENG), urged its members in the state to disregard any information coming from sources, other than the recognized National leadership of PTD, headed by its new chairman Comrade Augustine Egbon and his team.
The state unit chairman of PTD comrade Abudullahi Haruna popularly known as 63 issued this warning while addressing newsmen in Kaduna on the happening at the apex body of the union.
He said the union had elected new leaders last month, 31st October 2023 at Ibadan, Oyo state where he is one of the Ex-officio from Kaduna among others.
Comrade Haruna stated that the PTD branch of NUPENG has four zones namely; Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Warri, and Lagos, in which 172 units participated in the election.
According to him, it is on record that the ex-National Deputy Chairman, Dayyabu Garga, had written his resignation letter in 2022, as he was elected as the Chairman of Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau state and has since, been approved by the National Secretary of NUPENG.
