2023 Christmas/Yuletide: NGO Donates Cash, Food Items To Over 500 Widows & The Elderly

Ahead of Christmas and New Year celebration the Christmas and Yuletide season in Nigeria, an NGO known as; Glovis Entrepreneurial and Leadership Development Foundation, under its program, has put smiles on the faces of 500 Widows and 10 senior citizens. 

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the presentation of the items the founder of the foundation, Mr Kayode Akinade said the donation was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries. 

Kayode stated that the beneficiaries were carefully selected from Kaduna, Kwara, Oyo, Abuja, Kano, Nasarawa, Plateau, Benin, Benue and  Lagos states. 

His words, "The essence of this program is keenly interested in putting smiles on the faces of widows and their families during the Christmas season. "

The founder further stated that they also to get their data captured in respect of accessing future support to their business and development of Entrepreneurial skills that can improve the management of their businesses and enhance productive living while supporting them on financial independence. 

Kayode noted that "We are  committed to alleviating poverty by enhancing the standard of living of women, youths, and widows that are engaged in small scale trades and crafts through business management and entrepreneurship training on how to move their business forward, financial empowerment and improve their standard of living."

He recalled that last year we distributed similar items to 330 beneficiaries and families in seven states.

Some of the items donated to the beneficiaries include raw food, Christmas cards, Cash gifts, etc.
