Niger Tornadoes Football Club goal talisman, Bashir Usman said he dreamt about the goal he scored against Kano Pillars in the week 15 match of the Nigeria premier football league a night before the match on Thursday 21st, December 2023 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

Speaking after his last-minute goal that gave Tornadoes three points and moved them away from the drop zone, the striker said he was sick before the match and could not start but had to beg to play when he saw things were not going their way

"I was sick before the match and was kept on the bench very uneasy and worried, some few minutes to the end of the game while it was still goalless, I couldn't stomach the pressure and had to beg to play, funny enough, I dreamt I scored in the match, I believed my dream will come through, I went in and it became a reality."

Bashir Usman who had played for several clubs before like Plateau United, Nasarawa United, and two foreign clubs in Egypt, said with the victory Niger Tornadoes has begun to do well and promised the club will not go into relegation.

"We are beginning to do well and I am sure we will retain our status in the premier league."

The talisman who has six goals in the campaign so far, noted that getting a national call-up will not be a bad one for him.
