NEW YEAR: PLATEAU DEPUTY GOVERNOR CALLS FOR PEACE, UNITY

Plateau State Deputy Governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo has called on citizens in the state to embrace a renewed sense of peaceful disposition, love, and unity towards each other and humanity as the New Year begins.

Piyo in a New Year message said that the New Year presents an opportunity for people to begin on a new slate and leave behind disunity and other things that have drawn the state backward. 

This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary of the Deputy Governor, Martha Nyam issued in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.

She stressed that citizens should always project God’s love for one another and to mankind, adding that the New Year signifies a new beginning filled with renewed hope and good promises. 

She said that the Governor Caleb Mutfwang-led government would work assiduously to improve the quality of life for Plateau citizens in the state assuring everyone of a promising future.

She prayed for peace, unity, a prosperous New Year, and sustainable development in the state.
