Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, has expressed deep shock and concern over the recent abduction of primary school pupils and secondary school students in Chikun local government area. 

In a statement personally signed, Sen. Usman highlighted the escalating tensions in the Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone due to terrorist attacks, killings, and abductions in various communities across Kajuru, Chikun, Birnin-Gwari, Giwa, and Igabi Local Governments.

"Today, I am saddened and in a state of rude shock regarding the abduction of innocent children at Kuriga, Chikun Local Government area along the treacherous Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highway," Sen. Usman stated."

"The recent surge in violent attacks has left citizens traumatized and desperate for relief." 

The Senator extended his deepest sympathy to the parents and families of the abducted pupils and students. "Their loss is immeasurable," he emphasized.

While acknowledging the efforts of security forces in rescuing the abducted children, Sen. Usman urged governments at all levels to adopt a more proactive approach in dealing with miscreants who terrorize communities. 

"We must take the fight to the doorstep of these terrorists," he concluded.

The situation remains critical, and the call for decisive action echoes across Kaduna Central as citizens await the safe return of their children.
