The Labour Party's Plateau State chapter has released a timetable for the conduct of its primaries, ahead of the upcoming elections. The schedule outlines key activities and deadlines for aspirants and party members.
According to the timetable, the Screening Committee will display the list of successful aspirants on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the party secretariat at 10:00 am.
The primaries for councillorship positions will take place on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at various ward headquarters, starting at 10:00 am.
The chairmanship primaries will be conducted on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the local government offices of the Labour Party, also commencing at 10:00 am.
Furthermore, a hearing to address disputes arising from the primaries has been scheduled for Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the state secretariat in Bukuru, beginning at 10:00 am.
Hon. Moses Dung, the State Organizing Secretary, signed the announcement, urging all aspirants and party members to take note of the timetable and participate accordingly. This development marks a significant step towards the Labour Party's preparations for the upcoming elections in Plateau State.
