The Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has expressed confidence in the leadership of Rt. Rev. Alkali Titus of the Anglican Diocese of Wusasa for his peace preaching since his assumption at the Diocese.
He stated this in his Christmas message through his representative, Marafan Yamman Zazzau, Alhaji Mustapha Adamu Ubaidullah, during the Christmas service.
Emir Bamalli said that peace among people is the most important component of greatness and success in society.
The traditional ruler commended the people of the Wusasa community for maintaining their cordial relationship and peaceful coexistence.
He urged them to maintain their tolerance and to always assist the needy around them and beyond.
Nigerians have been advised to embrace peace, love, and mutual understanding of each other irrespective of religion, ethnicity, and geographical location.
In his sermon, Rt. Rev. Alkali Titus of the Anglican Diocese of Wusasa, Zaria, said the Christmas period is to show love to people irrespective of their beliefs.
The cleric explained the importance of Christmas as the period to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.
Rt. Rev. Alkali advised all Christians to show love to people irrespective of their beliefs and to respect each other's faith since the Nigerian constitution provides avenues for its citizens to practice the religion of their choice without any problem, as long as it does not violate the laws of the land.
Regarding the government, the clergyman appealed to the three tiers of government to, as a matter of urgency, create job opportunities for our teeming graduates as a means of utilizing their talents in developing our nation.
"Nigeria is a blessed country with human and mineral resources, and it is very important that our leaders should endeavor to utilize them accordingly."
