The Speaker of the Kaduna South Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Joshua Kajan has urged Christians to spread the messages of love, peace, hope, and tolerance that Jesus Christ preached by personal example this Christmas.
In his goodwill message, Kajan felicitated with Christians in Kaduna South while also assuring Nigerians that the Kaduna South Local Government Legislative Council would promote laws that would further propel development and goodwill across the community.
He stated that “the life and teachings of Jesus Christ enjoin his followers through holy living to be the light and salt that make the world brighter and better for mankind.” Kajan also emphasized the importance of loving one’s neighbors and seeking peace in society.
Hon. Kajan also urged Nigerians to renew hope and faith in God in the quest to find lasting solutions to socioeconomic and political challenges facing the nation. He canvassed for religious harmony between and among various groups, saying that peaceful coexistence was needed for development to take place in local government.
The Speaker reminded Christians that Jesus Christ, whose birth the world commemorates every December 25, is a role model to all and asked the Christians to imbibe His teachings and pray for continuous peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
Kajan also commended the Council Chairman, Rayyan Hussaini for his foresight for the palliative distribution to enable the Christians to celebrate the festivities.
