In a bid to alleviate the hardships faced by residents, the Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government Area, Hon. Rayyan Hussaini, has distributed palliatives to over 350 individuals and 500 households in the spirit of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The distribution, which took place at the LGA Secretariat in Kaduna South, included cash for 350 people as well as rice for 500 households for both Christians and Muslims,. Speaking during the event, Hon. Hussaini acknowledged the economic challenges faced by the people, describing them as part of a global issue.
“We understand the difficulties many are going through, and in the spirit of Christmas and New Year, we are supporting you to help cushion the effects of these hardships,” he stated.
The Chairman also extended his gratitude to the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Uba Sani, for his purposeful leadership and unwavering support. He stressed that the governor had directed all local government councils to prioritize initiatives that provide relief to the populace.

Speaking earlier, the Wife of the Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hajiya Salma Abu Rayyan, addressed women and other beneficiaries during the palliative distribution event. She noted that the festive season provides an opportunity to show compassion and support for one another, irrespective of religious or social differences.

The Secretary of the Women Campaign Directorate, Ummulkhair Usman, commended the palliative distribution initiative led by Hon. Rayyan Hussaini, describing it as a reflection of his long-standing commitment to humanitarian efforts. She noted that the gesture was unsurprising, given his track record of philanthropy through his Raycare Foundation. “Hon. Rayyan has consistently demonstrated care and support for the less privileged, even before assuming office.
Ummulkhair further encouraged beneficiaries to make good use of the support they received and urged others to emulate the Chairman’s generosity and commitment to community development.
