The Federal Fire Service, Zaria Area Commander, ACF Aminu Amadu, has agreed to collaborate with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Zaria Unit Commander, CRC Falgore, to mitigate tanker fires and prevent oil scooping incidents in the community.
In a Press release signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Zaria Command ASF Umar D. Adamu and made available to newsmen in Zaria said, ACF Aminu expressed appreciation for the working relationship between the two agencies, emphasizing the importance of teamwork.
The Commander underscored the need for enhanced training for garage and motor park drivers on fire safety and the enforcement of fire extinguisher requirements in vehicles.
He highlighted the significance of insurance coverage and the necessity of obtaining a fire certificate for damage claims.
In his remarks, the FRSC Unit Commander CRS Falgore welcome the initiative and expressed his commitment to collaborate closely with the Federal Fire Service to promote fire safety awareness among motorists.
Outlining his plan of action, he announced an upcoming stakeholders’ awareness campaign, which will provide an avenue for the Federal Fire Service to contribute to the initiative
