The Kaduna State Development and Property Company (KSDPC) has officially launched its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, marking a significant milestone in its drive toward digital transformation, improved service delivery, and enhanced transparency in real estate and housing operations.

The launch event, held on May 27, 2025, in Kaduna, was attended by top management, staff, and strategic partners. In his keynote address, the Managing Director/CEO of KSDPC, Abubakar Rabi'u Abubakar expressed delight at the development, describing the ERP launch as a bold step in repositioning the organization for modern service delivery.

Established on July 8, 1991, through Edict No. 11 of 1991, KSDPC was created as a successor to the former Kaduna State Housing Authority. The MD noted that the company has since evolved into a revenue-generating entity focused on bridging the housing deficit across Kaduna State by offering affordable housing and serviced plots to various clients.

Rabi'u Abubakar however, acknowledged that outdated processes and infrastructural deficiencies, especially in document handling and client engagement, had posed major setbacks. "The bureaucracy and excessive red tape in our business processes made it difficult for customers and partners to engage with KSDPC. The lack of functional ICT infrastructure only compounded these challenges," he said.

Abubakar added that upon assumption of office, his team assessed KSDPC’s four core operational functions and discovered underperformance due to outdated systems, lack of digital records, and the absence of real-time data for layouts and beneficiaries. "We were faced with tough questions—how do we improve service delivery, raise revenue, and compete favorably in the real estate sector?"

To answer these questions, KSDPC partnered with Tech-nyon to develop a user-friendly ERP system designed to simplify processes and improve client interaction. "With this ERP platform, clients can now do business with us, submit applications, register complaints, and engage with our staff from the comfort of their homes using any internet-enabled device," he said.

He emphasized that the launch aligns with the Kaduna State Government’s commitment to ease of doing business, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani. "I thank His Excellency Dr. Senator Uba Sani for entrusting me with the responsibility to serve. Today, KSDPC is fully prepared to do business differently — transparently, accountably, and efficiently. This is the dawn of a new KSDPC," he concluded.

Meanwhile, in a presentation, the Manager of ICT, Sanusi Sanusi Lawal, described the newly launched ERP application as user-friendly and compatible with a wide range of digital devices. According to him, the interface was deliberately designed to be intuitive, allowing clients to easily navigate the system whether they are using mobile phones, tablets, or computers. He noted that the simplicity of the interface ensures that even first-time users can interact with the platform with minimal guidance, making it accessible to clients across various demographics.

Sanusi further explained that one of the core innovations of the ERP system is its real-time communication feature. "People can now contact the company directly through the platform, share their challenges, and get instant feedback from our staff," he said. This, he added, is a major leap forward in customer service delivery, as it eliminates delays, enhances accountability, and strengthens client confidence in the company’s responsiveness. He emphasized that with the ERP in place, KSDPC is better positioned to deliver seamless, efficient, and transparent services to the public.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Director of Administration, Malam Abdulaziz Ahmed, lauded the leadership of the MD/CEO for championing the digital transformation. He also extended appreciation to the implementation team, the IT unit, and partners from Tech-nyon for their technical expertise and commitment.

To our staff, thank you for embracing this change. Your cooperation is vital to fully harnessing the ERP system. Let us continue working together for a more efficient and client-focused KSDPC, he said.

The ERP platform is expected to significantly improve internal operations, enable better data management, and enhance customer service delivery—ushering in a new era for KSDPC in Kaduna State’s real estate landscape.
