PDP members and key stakeholders in the Halle Ward of Mangu Local Government Area recently convened to strategize for the 2027 gubernatorial election, unanimously endorsing Governor Caleb Mutfwang for a second term. The meeting, held in Halle, was a show of support and a platform for party members to re-energize their base ahead of the next polls.
Speaking at the gathering, the Mangu local government chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Bala, praised Governor Mutfwang's impactful development efforts across all sectors. He highlighted the administration's commitment to security, infrastructure, and economic growth, which has positively affected the lives of many in the area. "The tangible progress we see in our communities is a testament to the governor's vision and leadership," Bala stated. "His administration has not only initiated new projects but has also successfully completed inherited ones, demonstrating a true dedication to the people of Plateau State. For these reasons and more, he deserves a second term to continue the good work."
Also addressing the attendees, party stalwart Alex Ladan urged members to intensify their grassroots mobilization efforts. He stressed the importance of engaging with every constituent to convey the governor's achievements and future plans.
Ladan assured the meeting that all issues have been resolved, creating a united front for the upcoming elections. "We must go out and make it clear to everyone that Governor Mutfwang is not going to any party," he charged. "Our unity is our strength, and we must work together to ensure a resounding victory and a smooth continuation of his governance."
On his part, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Jos North local government chairman, Hon. William Richard, commended the dedication and loyalty of the Halle Ward party leaders and executives.
He praised their foresight in endorsing the governor for a second term, calling it a crucial step towards political stability and continued development. "This early show of solidarity is a powerful message," Richard said. "It demonstrates our commitment to deliver our local government for the governor and secure his re-election in 2027.”
