Kajuru, Kaduna State — The political atmosphere in Kajuru Constituency has gathered momentum as the incumbent member representing the area in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Usman Danlami Stingo, has officially declared his intention to seek re-election.

Hon. Stingo confirmed that he has obtained the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s secretariat, signaling his formal entry into the race ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking shortly after picking up the forms, the lawmaker said his decision to contest for a second term was informed by persistent calls from constituents, as well as his commitment to consolidating on the gains recorded during his first tenure.

According to him, his experience in office has provided him with a deeper understanding of the needs of the people and the legislative process, positioning him to deliver more impactful representation if given another mandate.

“My first tenure has given me deeper insight into the needs of our people and the workings of the Assembly. I am seeking a second term to provide stronger, more effective representation and to attract more developmental projects and programmes that will directly impact the lives of Kajuru people,” he said.

The lawmaker further disclosed plans to embark on extensive ward-to-ward consultations and intensify grassroots mobilization in the build-up to the party primaries.

He also called on political actors and supporters to embrace peaceful engagement, stressing the importance of unity and decorum throughout the electioneering period.

“I remain committed to issue-based campaigns. Kajuru deserves unity and progress, not division,” Stingo added.

Hon. Stingo’s declaration is expected to shape the dynamics of the race in Kajuru Constituency as political activities gradually build up ahead of the polls.
