Leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) delivered a remark as the Islamic Movement commemorated the 12th anniversary of the International Quds Day Zaria Massacre today, 25 July 2026, at Darur Rahma on the outskirts of Zaria.
In his speech, the leader began by reminding the audience of the events of Ashura, the martyrdom of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (AS), which is commemorated during the month of Safar, the forthcoming Arba'een trek, and the recently concluded funeral ceremony of Martyr Imam Khamenei (QS).
He stated that the purpose of the gathering was to commemorate the massacre committed by the Nigerian Army 12 years ago, during which participants in the International Quds Day procession were, according to him, attacked without provocation.
The leader recounted how the International Quds Day procession began in Zaria several years ago before spreading to other major cities across Nigeria.
The leader said the purpose of the procession is to stand against injustice and oppression, citing the suffering of the Palestinian people under Zionist occupation for more than 70 years.
He also condemned the Zionist occupiers, the United States, and their Nigerian proxies, who are always attacking us during various religious processions and gatherings.
He further declared that such actions would not frighten the movement, saying every one of us remain prepared to sacrifice their lives in this struggle for justice.
