PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM UMMAH ON EID-EL-MAULUD

The Plateau State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, felicitates with the Muslim Ummah in the State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

This important occasion provides an opportunity to reflect on the values that promote a peaceful and harmonious society, particularly where citizens embrace compassion, forgiveness, tolerance, mutual respect and regard for the dignity of every human being

The Government calls on the Muslim Ummah and all citizens of Plateau State to draw inspiration from the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad by promoting peaceful relationships, showing compassion and embracing understanding across religious and cultural differences.

Furthermore, the Government commends the Jos Annual Maulud Committee of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) for adopting the theme, “Emulating the Prophetic Way of Peace, Mutual Respect and Religious Freedom,” which is a timely reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold religious freedom, respect diversity and pursue peace as a shared aspiration that encourages religious leaders, traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders to continue promoting dialogue, reconciliation and responsible citizenship, particularly among the younger generation, whose values and choices will shape the future of the State.

As the Muslim faithful mark the 2026 Eid-el-Maulud, the government reaffirms its commitment to working with communities, religious and traditional institutions, and security agencies to ensure peaceful celebration across the state.

Happy Eid-el-Maulud.
