Muslims in Jama'a Local Government Area have continued to celebrate Eid-el-Maulud as a mark of appreciation and thanksgiving to Almighty Allah for His abundant blessings upon them.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Imam of Jama'a, Alhaji Kabir Mami Kassim, said the whole month of Rabi'ul Awwal, and beyond, is a period of thanking God, as the coming of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) delivered people out of darkness.
He said it is a period for promoting peace and unity, and for rendering assistance to the needy, the vulnerable, and the less privileged.
The Chief Imam described the Prophet as a unifier who brought people together and embraced everyone, noting that he has even been identified by a non-Muslim author as a man of great purpose.
Malam Nuhu Mai Ashafa also explained that there is every need for Muslims to celebrate and thank God for the Prophet Muhammad, who promoted purity, humility, and brotherliness, among many other virtues too numerous to mention. He added that Islam is a religion of kindness, peaceful coexistence, and goodness in all its forms, qualities Muslims are expected to emulate.
The Maulud celebration was also used as an occasion to pray for the peace and unity of Jama'a Local Government Area, Kaduna State, and the country at large.
