NSCDC Welfare: Commandant Adah of Kaduna pledges to sustain CG's efforts, support Cooperative

Determined to support and ensure the sustainability of priority placed on personnel welfare by the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Ph.D., mni, Kaduna State Commandant of Corps and Patron, NSCDC Staff Cooperative Society, Idris Yahaya Adah, has pledged maximum support for the society, calling on personnel who have not joined to reconsider their decision and do so before it becomes late.

The Commandant who commended the level of accountability and transparency by the current Exco while presenting a cheque to ACG Modu Bunu who retired from active service recently also encouraged the Exco under its President, ASC Sunday Haruna to maintain such a high level of financial discipline.

The elated Commandant who said he was overwhelmed with joy further thanked the cooperative leadership for the smooth running of the society, saying "it is in line with the vision of the Audi-led administration of the NSCDC which insists on zero tolerance on corruption."

He appreciated the ACG for his strong belief in the cooperative which made him contribute hugely to the success and benefits of others and promised to emulate the retired ACG 

 

Further, he reiterated his call to encourage everyone to join society quoting a popular saying 'do not eat your fruit with the seed,' which implies do not eat your future by not saving for the rainy days.

On his part, the President of the NSCDC Kaduna Cooperative and Investment Society, Sunday Haruna, appreciated Bunu for his support by giving them direction on how to go for things that could be of immense benefit to officers and men when he served as State Commandant and Patron of the society.

Specifically, the President noted that while the beneficiary served as patron, he ensured that the  Cooperative Society stood firm for the benefit of all members.

He (ACG) encouraged so many Officers and men to join the Cooperative Society and has remained the only State Commandant who was transferred after his promotion but still maintained his membership with the Cooperative here in Kaduna, Haruna said. 

Continuing, the President maintained "Today we are very proud of you and we want to make this presentation to you on behalf of all  the esteemed  Cooperative members of Kaduna State."

"Inline with the provision of our Bye Law, each member of the Society has contributed #1000 making a total of #826,000 naira only to be presented to you as your retirement benefits from the Cooperative Society", Haruna explained.

Responding, ACG Bunu, expressed delight for being one of the beneficiaries as stipulated by the Bye Law and called on other members to ensure saving of five percent of their monthly earnings and have strong faith in society,  describing it as a noble initiative of the NSCDC management.
