Kaduna Footballers Vow to Support Gusau NFF Presidency

An international football Agent, licensed by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Mr. Bature Joseph Kanwa has organized a soccer friendly match in Kaduna for the solidarity of Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (Kigon Gusau) for President Nigerian football federation.

The two days of entertaining friendly matches were witnessed by many soccer stakeholders and enthusiasts within and outside Kaduna State which was exciting and entertaining attested by the crowdy football fans, players, coaches, and ex-Kaduna Stars as well as officials held in Kaduna.


According to the Bature Kanwa, “we have organized this event to someone that has youth in his heart, and dedicated his life to the development of football in Kaduna and Nigeria at large, he has done so much in the system, and determined to do more for the system with our little support to enable him to transform of the national football industry”.


In his remarks, the national under 17 co-ordinator Bello Garba Gusau, described Ibrahim Gusau as an exemplary leader that has ethnic and religious tolerance.


“He doesn’t subscribe to any kind or sign of ethnic and religious sentiments, whether you are a Muslim or Christian he carries everybody’s alone he’s an icon of unity”.
“Ibrahim Gusau is a complete gentleman, a man of principles, and focused only on the progress of youths, especially in the football industry”- he exclaimed.


Also, in an address ex-FIFA referee, Mr. Tom Awok, said: “is laudable for the way I saw fans, players and club’s officials gathered to show their support, solidarity, and cooperation with our favorable candidate and thorough breed professional, Ibrahim Gusau”.


” I also commanded the organizers of this event for their tremendous efforts towards the success of the games, I prayed for his success and God’s guidance throughout his tenure in office as the next NFF president by the grace of God almighty”, he added.


Also in a goodwill message, Alhaji Lawal Musa Basko, the KKD manager, appreciated the character and efforts of Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau for the way he contributed to the development of the football industry in Kaduna and the nation at large.

Adding that “I don’t know Gusau in person, but the what I heard about his legacies and efforts, I’m convinced to support him financially and morally, this is the first time I witnessed any NFF presidential aspirant mobilize such crowded people in Kaduna.


The important dignitaries that graced the event include; Alhaji Adamu Abubakar, the Head of Accounts and Finance, NNPC Kaduna, Mr. Emmanuel Makadas an ex-international player as well as Zakariah Yunana Gaza an ex-Kaduna star player.

Also, at the occasion were, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello a football pundit, Stephen Musa also an ex-international player, the player’s agent Mustafa Salisu Keta and Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Anka, and the LO Zamfara State Liaison office Kaduna among others.

The two entertaining games were played between KKD football club against Zion Football Academy, which was held at KKD football field, Tudun Wada.
Also, Yelwa United football club battled Zion football Academy at Television Kaduna, while the Lucky Stars of Television engaged themselves in the friendly match.
