Nigerian Christian Clergy Mourns Death of Egyptian Islamic Scholar Yusuf Al Qaradawi

The General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry Kaduna State North Western Nigeria, Pastor Yohanna Buru has joined the rest of the Muslim world to commensurate with Muslims around the globe over the death of one of the top Islamic scholars, Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi.

In a statement made available to the press, the Christian Clergy says the late Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi is a man of Peace, Integrity and contributed immensely towards promoting Interfaith dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and religious tolerance throughout his life.

According to Pastor Yohanna Buru, “the late Al Qaradawi was one of the most influential religious scholars in the Sunni Muslim world”.

Adding that, he has contributed immensely In various ways of preaching peace and unity throughout his life while encouraging people irrespective of race, color, or religion to be tolerant.

“The Islamic nation has lost one of its most sincere and virtuous scholars”.

Buru commensurates with the Muslims all over the world and prayed to almighty God to grant him aljanna Firdausi.

Buru pointed that AlQaradawi also made frequent appearances on several Television channels to discuss religious matters, making him one of the most recognizable Islamic scholars in the Arab world.

He wrote more than 120 books and received several international awards for his contributions to Islamic studies.

Al-Qaradawi organized the first Interfaith Dialogue Conference in Doha in 2003 and then institutionalized the process by establishing the Doha International Centre for Interfaith Dialogue in 2007, which was the desire of the then Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Than.
