Rows of eager students in crisp uniforms filled Yar’Adua Hall at Murtala Square Wednesday 9th July, 2025, their eyes trained on a podium draped in hope and ambition.

It was a rare moment where the students were not just spectators—they were the focal point of a sweeping education reform agenda unveiled by Governor Uba Sani at the KADA EduPACT International Summit 2025.

“The dreams of every child in Kaduna State must be reflected in our plans,” the governor declared, capturing the summit’s central ethos. With the theme “Strategic Visioning for Educational Transformation: Developing the Kaduna State Education Model,” the summit signaled a dramatic departure from piecemeal educational interventions toward a unified, inclusive, and data-driven strategy.

Before an audience of policy makers, educators, and global development partners, Governor Sani laid out a compelling vision where students—not just statistics—drive the change.

He announced landmark investments in foundational learning, digital infrastructure, and skills-based education.
Among them: the commissioning of three state-of-the-art vocational training institutes and the launch of the ROOSC Project aimed at re-enrolling 300,000 out-of-school children.
“This is about building a future where no child is left behind,” Governor Sani stated, drawing applause from the young audience whose futures hang in the balance.

From reducing tuition fees to redesigning curricula around digital literacy and critical thinking, the governor’s roadmap reflects a long-term commitment to repositioning Kaduna as a hub for educational innovation.
Pupils and students are not just the beneficiaries—they are the heartbeat of a bold transformation.
