The board of the Kaduna State Para-Soccer Association was inaugurated with a call on board members to support the team players build a life out of the sport.
The state chairman of the Association, Ambassador Kabir Danladi, (Marafan Gonin Gora, Walin Tudun Wada) stated this in his welcome address during the inauguration ceremony on Monday, October 10th, 2022, at the Media Center of Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna.
He said with the inauguration of the board members has once again renewed our commitment to drive the growth of Para-Soccer in Kaduna State.
The Marafan Gonin Gora urged the board to support the team and build on the national glory it had proud the state.
“I am delighted and proud to be your chairman and the remarkable achievement you brought to state is still fresh on our minds and being champions in 2017 does not mean we cannot celebrate you as our champions”.
The chairman then called for all and sundry to invest to develop them considering their physical challenges.
“Our support and investing in kind and cash is a social service that can permanently take them out of the streets for good” Alhaji Danladi Stressed.
Before the inauguration proper, members watched a ten minutes Para-Soccer game with the state chairman taking the first kick.
“The talents display and professionalism in para-soccer worth commendation and I want to use the privilege to solicit the support of all and sundry”.
“I will not conclude this speech without expressing my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the Honourable commissioner, Permanent Secretary, and all Directors of the Ministry of Sports Development for finding us worthy to serve the state”.
Responding on behalf of the Kaduna State Para-Soccer Association’s board members, the Media Officer of the Board, Shehu Abdullahi thanked the ministry for the opportunity to contribute to sports development in the state.
In a closing remark, the first Vice Chairman, Barrister Abubakar Ashat Abdullahi said he is associated with the development of sports in Kaduna State.
I am honored to be part of this laudable project and fully associated myself with the development of sports in Kaduna State”.
“For those uninformed may think they are deformed but they are not deformed in their mind even when they look physical challenge”
He called on everybody to support and encourage the Para-Soccer players.
