KADUNA UNITY PARADE HOLDS TO MARK INDEPENDENT ANNIVERSARY

 

Hundreds of paramilitary and other Civil security organizations that are complimenting security operatives have converged at the Sultan Bello Eid Ground for the Kaduna October first, Unity Parade.


The joint organizations for the ceremony include Catholic Cadet, Peace Corps, Hisba from Kano State, Boys Brigade, Hunters Association of Nigeria, private security organizations as well as Vigilante groups of Nigeria, among others.


Leading the prayers amidst thousands of Muslims and Christians, Pastor Yohanna Buru who is the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry Kaduna emphasized the need for Muslims and Christians to strengthen good relationships to promote peaceful coexistence amongst the adherence of different faith base organizations in the country.

He said it becomes imperative to encourage people of a different faith to learn how to live in peace and harmony and tolerate each other to foster peace in society.

Pastor Yohanna Buru made the statement while opening prayer at the unity Parade and prayers organized by the Coalition of Community-Based Security Organizations of Nigeria in Kaduna (Coalition of JTF) to commemorate this year’s 2022 independence day celebration in Kaduna state.

According to him, “it’s a great privilege and opportunity for a Christian Pastor to lead prayer at Sultan Bello Eid ground”.

In a remark, the Public Relations Officer of the State Coalition of JTF, Mallam Sunusi Surajo said every year, the coalition used to organize national prayers to mark Independence Day.

He said the aim is to strengthen Christian and Muslim relationships for peace and stability in the country
