Inculcating moral and national values was central to positive teachings, provided to help us and tread the right path in life where every parent wants his child to imbibe.
A person who imbibes good values grows on to become a responsible individual and he is capable of demarcating right and wrong. Also, he is able to make wiser decisions in life. It is on this premise that Usra Academy took the lead to institutionalize the spirit of nationalism to its young students and pupils of the great school in style.
Speaking to http://www.newspanorama.com.ng, the Proprietoress Hajiya Halima S. Baba explained that “as you all know Nigeria is sixty-two years, in order to celebrate it and inculcate the spirit of nationalism, we decided to throw a funfair in our school and invited the public, friends as well as our students to play games, eat snacks and interact with each other”.
“It is evident in the faces of these kids, you can see they are not frowning, they are happy and having fun”, She added.
A mother, Bilkisu Buba Tahir Sadisu described the funfair organised by the school as perfect beginning towards imparting national values to the school children through fun and games while the parents interact with each other.
“I am here for the independence Day activity which is going on well. I can see alot of activities and the children are having fun”.
” Apart from the activities going on I can see alot of sales going on items like local umra, snacks and foods as well as cultural activities have really added glamour to the occasion”.
http://www.newspanorama.com.ng also spoke to a grandmother, Nana Bappa who felicitated with the school children said I met the children including my grandchildren happy, celebrating the Independence Day.
She said “today coincidentally, is also my birthday, I came and met the children in happy mood. I therefore have to thank Usra Academy for making them realize that today is a special day”.
The kids had fun on the bouncing castle, slide and played several fun games like snooker, table tennis, mini golf, bowling and mini basketball. In the parking lot of the school premises, there was a mini market with food, snacks, clothes jewelries and other knick knacks on sale.”
