Arewa Sports Journalists Task NFF to Save Nigeria’s Football

The Arewa Sports Journalists Hangout Forum, (ASJHF) has tasked the new leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to do everything humanly possible to save Nigeria’s football from its present shameful state.

The Executive Members of the Forum in a statement signed by its Secretary-General, Eche Amos, urged NFF to reposition the league (i.e from lower to elite divisions) and return the country to its glory days in the round leather game.

Also, the statement further appealed to the new leadership “to ensure persons with credible track records and proven integrity, irrespective of any differences, are appointed or elected into positions of importance in the NFF”.

“Furthermore, the new leadership should prioritize reward system, ensure accountability, transparency and judicious utilization of resources committed to their care”.

“As a Forum, we shall continue to carry out our professional tasks of unbiased news coverage and reportage of activities of the NFF and Nigeria’s football for the growth and development of the sport and its stakeholders”.
