Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress,Dr Nentawe Yilwatda as well as all other flag bearers of the party will sweep the votes in Kanam Local Government during the 2023 general elections.
This is because the party in the area through all structures has demonstrated the zeal and capacity to address the my raids of challenges bedeviling them at the moment.
Executive Chairman of the council,Dayyabu Yusuf Garga made this known in a chat with some media outlets in Dengi the headquarters of Kanam Local Government Area.
He said gone are the days when the people will believe what they do not see stating that since the coming onboard of his administration he has marked words with action instead of rhetorics as the people now believe because they can see,feel and touch the impact of the present administration in their lives.
Coupled with the massive support received from prominent sons and daughters of the area,Dayyabu Garga said politically no any other political party can breathe in Kanam as the transformation ongoing there has shut the mouths and minds of skeptics who's stock in trade was to churn out fake news of existence in the LGA.
Garga told news men they could go round and see for themselves areas that have received attention,areas still receiving attention as well as get information on areas to receive more attention as the days go by.
"We recently celebrated our one year in office and you can attest to the several developments we have brought to the people of Kanam.A compendium of our Programmes are there,get them and also follow on the field and see for yourselves.We are right now planning to hold another town hall meeting with the people irrespective of our differences so as to have further input and streamline the next phase of our activities in line with their wishes and aspirations"
The Kanam Local Government Council Chairman said most of these are in alignment with the visions and missions of the APC and which its Governorship candidate,Nentawe Yilwada shares most especially in the area of addressing youth restiveness and opening doors of opportunities for them,women inclusion,Entrepreneurship,Agriculture and the rest.
He said by history and standards,Kanam is prepared for the elections and will vote APC from the Presidential,Governorship and down to the last office to be contested.
Asked further questions including readiness of his administration to meet up staff welfare Dayyabu Garga said the council has managed the meager resources coming to it and always channeled it appropriately and will continue to do that as it prioritizes staff welfare,security and provision of basic social amenities.
He called on the people of Kanam to sustain the level of support they have given his administration and the party promising that the days ahead will be better and thanked Governor Simon Bako Lalong for the free hand he has given them to operate saying that shows his commitment towards the people.
