Over 123 golfers have participated in the Ola Sa'ad Ibrahim Golf Club Jaji in the special welcome tournament in honour of the Commandant Armed Forces Command and Staff College, AFCSC, and Grand Patron Air Vice Marshall OL Tuwase of the club.
The tournament which gathered golfers from across the country, with over 30 golfers went home with different prices, ranging from 0-36 for ladies while that for men ranges from 0-28.
In the ladies' categories, Elizabeth Samuel returned 86 Gross beaten over 18 ladies while Emily Ojo return 66 Nett been the winner in the ladies' categories following the runner-up Nett Lt NN MA Balogun 74 Nett, second Runner-up Nett Eunice Pam 74 Nett while Lucy Monday returned the Runner up Gross for the ladies.
In the men's three categories the following golfers emerged in various categories.
In categories 0-9, the best Gross Jamilu Ibrahim returned 72 Gross, Best Nett Shehu Danjuma 70 Nett after a count back on Ubi Omini, and the runner-up Nett Ubi Omini.
And in category 10-18 Best Gross Ayobami Opeagbe 84 gross Runner up, Emmanuel Yakubu 88 Gross, while Best Nett Barrister SI Babwnja'e with 67 Nett, runner-up Nett Emmanuel Kim Pam second Runner-up Nett S Minjibir 72.
While in category 3, 19-28 best Gross 97 Squardore leader LT Makata, Best Nett WO Oche Christopher 68 Nett, runner-up Nett Dele Egungbohun 72 and second Runner-up Nett Kabir Hussain Ibrahim with 77 Nett
Other special categories include the Best Endeavor in the ladies, Lovely Oroma Chimezi after 18 Holes of the game, returns 162 Gross, and in the men's Major KO Ezenwa returns 135 gross.
In the longest drive and nearest to the PIN prices the longest drive ladies, Lucy Monday, while that of the men Sgt Utubor Godwin, Nearest to the PIN ladies, Elizabeth Samuel, while for the men WI Oche Christopher.
On the professional Price, the host in a special way recognizes all professionals, especially those that won, Pam Phillip, 77 Gross, Kobe 79 Gross, and Ayo Omole 80 gross.
In the veterans' category, we're not left behind as the best Nett returns 68 nett, Idris A Abubakar, runner-up Nett Suleiman Gors 70 Nett and the best Gross Adamu Yusuf return 86 Gross.
In his goodwill message, Major General Victor Ezugwu appreciated the Commandant, who had been one of the best in their course alumina,
"I am very happy that God has sent us our number one of the very trusted Allie, today in Jaji we are very happy to come and write his name in gold, as his course mate one of the very trusted 37-course aluminas, he is one of our best.
"He is the one that God has chosen to write our name in gold", he said
The Infantry Corp Center Commander also stressed the need to never give up, especially in the game of golf.
"We earned lessons wherever we are together. One hole in golf can bring you back to the track, he advised.
General Ezugwu promised to make Jaji a sporting environment for all golfers, adding that their best is yet to come, "Jaji is a lovely place we are here, Will remain here".
The Grand Patron and commandant of Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Air Vice Marshall OA Tuwase appreciated the efforts put together by the committee and promised to do his best in promoting the golf club.
"I will do my best to ensure that the golf course is always in shape, as a means of promoting sports, I will give all my best, whatever I can do to make the club much better than I meet it, he added.
He also appreciated the effort of the captains, the Patron, the deputy Commandant, and all that have traveled from far and across the country to partaken in one way or another.
