Jaji Golf Club Welcomes Patrons, Grand Patrons With Tournament…Draws Over Hundred Golfers

As a mark of honor and appreciation for the newly posted patron in Jaji golf club, the club deems it fit to organize a ceremonial sent-forth golf tournament have been organized for patrons and grand patrons of the club.

The ceremonial tournament apparently witnessed over a hundred players across the states, including the professionals.

In his address to the participants the newly posted Commqndant of the AFCSC, Air Vice Marshall, (AVM) Emmanuel Wonah, promised to promote the game of Golf and to improve it from where he meets it.

AVM Wonah also during his speech expressed appreciation for the warm welcome celebration While Commending the officers and men of the military at the golf course, appreciating them for maintaining the tempo of the game over time.

The Commander Infantry Corps Center Major General Christopher Musa stressed the need for exercise, saying it’s not all the time the military carries arms, they also have time for other exercises like walking which is also a good means of exercise.

“Over the years, the tournament remains a tradition for both incoming and outgoing patrons of the Armed forces command and staff college Jaji”, he added.

Meanwhile, prizes were won for over twenty categories of the tournament, and on the special categories, the longest drive award for Ladies was won by Elizabeth Samuel while the nearest to the PIN for Ladies goes to Sarah Fabuyi.

On the veteran categories, Brig. General YJ Game won best Gross while Hamza Baba took the Best Nett prize, While in the lady’s categories, three prizes were presented to the best Gross, 2nd runner’s up Nett, and best Nett prizes were received by Lucy Monday, Christiana Emmanuel, and Lizzy Samuel respectively.

The men’s categories were divided into four 4 different categories. From 0-9, 10-19, and 20- 28, saw Inalegwu David returned 61 net after playing below the cross- Per of the course, playing 11 under.
