National President Parents Teacher Association of Nigeria (PTSN) has condemned in totality the recent report of kidnapped of secondary school students in Awon community of Kachia local government area of kaduna state.
In an interview with the National President, Alhaji Haruna Danjuma, he called on the state government to redouble effort towards rescuing all the kidnapped students.
He equally draws the attention of the state and federal governments to secure all the primary and secondary schools across all the 36 states of the country against the activities of terrorist, banditry and kidnapping for ransom that is affecting the education of children.
"we as parents still remind government on the need to secure the release of all our students across the north who are still in captivity"
Danjuma again appealed to all education and security experts to always support government with advices on ways to protect schools and boost quality education in Nigeria.
He expressed worries over the harmful effect of banditry, kidnapping for ransom and other criminalities like cultism that are affecting education in northern part of Nigerian and called all stakeholders to joined hands toward offering solutions to tackled the menace.
He again called on states and federal government to provide schools with digital learning equipment, while wealthy individuals, traditional leaders and religious bodies to ensure adequate security is deployed to schools against activities of unpatriotic citizens.
"We equally commend the effort of ministry of education towards boosting the quality standards of education in the country at large".
