The Chairman of the Northern Governors' Forum and the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, alongside his fellow governors and other high-ranking officials on the Nigerian delegation to the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, have met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to a statement by the Director General, Press Affairs, Ismaila Uba Misilli, "this meeting took place ahead of President Tinubu's inaugural address at the 78th session of UNGA".
"This engagement exemplified a united front as Nigeria prepared to make its mark and address the international community on pressing matters of global concern".
UBA said the meeting also allowed the leaders to exchange ideas, and solidify Nigeria's stance on vital issues that are to be addressed by the President during the UNGA session.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya's active engagement in this meeting and other pre-UNGA events demonstrated his commitment to representing the interests of Gombe State and Northern Nigeria as well contributing to Nigeria's overall efforts in addressing global challenges.
