Disconnect Between Previous Football Administrators And Government Responsible To Football Setback In Kaduna State -Faisal

Ahead of the forthcoming election of the Kaduna State Football Association (FA), a frontrunner aspirant for the post of the FA Chairman, Faisal Muhammed Abdullahi has picked a nomination form.

Expressing his plans for football Development in Kaduna State, Faisal Muhammed said he declared to contest after several consultations with stakeholders.

He told newsmen after he obtained the nomination form, “If God willing I emerged victorious I have several plans to bring the glory of Football to Kaduna State”.

“So, I have taken my time before deciding to contest for this seat and have studied the issues affecting football development in Kaduna State, therefore we have different plans to partner with the government in the state to sustain efforts to mitigate and promote grassroots football development”.

Faisal blamed the disconnect between previous football administrators and the state government, responsible for the setback in the football in Kaduna state.

“Already we have a plan on the ground regarding how to structure the whole system, as we all know that there is a disconnect between the state government and football association”.

“The first step is to put football on the radar of the state government and from there everything would move smoothly hopefully”, he added.

“We have been engaging with some individuals from government quarters and the NFF to find a lasting solution to the disconnect, coupled with the fact that our Governor is a fan of football which was another motivation for me to run for the post of chairman Kaduna football association”.

He maintained that his aspiration as Kaduna FA Chairman is to bring more of his experience to the development of football in Kaduna state.
