Gov Sani, Nuj Chairperson honoured As Ember Months Set-In

The KADUNA State Government has established five  (5) computerized vehicle testing centers as part of its effort to ensure safer vehicles that comply with all safety standards in the State.

These were contained in a speech delivered at the 2023 Ember months campaign formally flagged off at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, ABS. 

Representing  Governor Uba Sani, honorable commissioner, of Works  Public and Infrastructure, Hamza Abubakar, also said, the Government recently inaugurated the State Road Strategy Council, which is in line with the Nigeria Road Safety Strategy II to assist in bringing sanity to roads within the State.

Additionally, the present Government is poised to continue to enhance the operation of Federal Road Safety, FRSC in the state, while calling on Kaduna citizens to adhere to all Safety standards and guidelines on road usage.

" We will support Kaduna State Sector Command of the Safety Corps in enlightening the general public through the media, worship centers, and available avenues until the trend is reversed, he promised.

During the campaign over 12 stakeholders were honored with several awards, among the awardees include; the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, and Comrade Asma'u Yawo Halilu, among others.

The award, according to the FRSC sheriff, was a recognition of exemplary leadership by the Union leader in piloting the affairs of the Union for nation-building.

The FRSC boss, Kabir Yusuf Nadabo, however, explained that the number one journalist in the state deserved to be honored, just as he further said that the FRSC is proud of her leadership style.

Equally, the state Command of the FRSC has also honored the best female Tanker driver, Hajia Rabiatu Abubakar Dangoke for her good driving habits.

The FRSC boss declared that Hajia Dangoke has been in the business of driving Tanker and Trailer in the last 20 years without any crash.

Among other awardees are media gurus from various media organizations and NURTW members were also awarded.

In their separate remarks, the awardees were appreciative of the honor, saying that the recognition of excellence by the FRSC will spur them to do more in their various capacities in the interest of the nation.
