NRC Debunks News Story On alledged Stolen Coaches... Describes Media Story As Erroneous

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has described as erroneous the news trending on numerous social media platforms purported to have emanated from Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), that attempt was made to steal NRC coaches from Maiduguri.  

A statement signed by the Managing Director of  NRC which was issued by the Deputy Director Public Relations, Yakub Mahmood, NRC states that the coaches are officially being moved to NRC Running Shed Jos, Plateau State to be overhauled. 

"With the view of putting them back to operation. NRC is trying to extend Rail Mass Transit all over the country", the statement added.

It could be recalled that few days in statement NRC appealed to passengers to insist and demand for tickets 

"The Management of NRC enjoins all our intending passengers on-board, Lagos – Ibadan Tran Service (LITS) and other train corridors to insist and demand for boarding ticket(s) after making appropriate payment at the designated stations or book online appropriately.
