...calls for all hands to be on deck to reposition the game of swimming - Dauda Galadima
The private sector in Kaduna State has been urged to live up to its Corporate Social and invest in Sports development.
The Chairman of the State Swimming Association, Dauda Usman Galadima made the call in his inaugural address shortly after administrating the oath of allegiance and inauguration of the board members.
He said with the new board in place, attention will be prioritized over swimming developmental Programs to catch them young for nurturing.
"We will be organizing swimming competitions a minimum of two (2) times a year with a training clinic for our coaches and technical officials within our little resources".
“It is important to note that Sports is a capital intensive venture and government cannot shoulder it alone"
Dauda called for all hands to be on deck to reposition the game of swimming to greater heights in Kaduna state.
"we will put all hands on deck, with all of you board members, and stakeholders to transform swimming in Kaduna with the provision of state-of-the-art infrastructure recently renovated Olympic size swimming pool.
"We need to plan now, begin to engage the private sector to persuade them to join us in promoting and developing Sports in Kaduna State".
"Finally, let me remind you my fellow board members that no doubt, the challenges ahead are many, and urges us all to come together to bring swimming in Kaduna to greater enviable heights".
