HALIMA AYINDE BRINGS NATIONAL TEAM PLAYERS TO KADUNA

It was a passionate demonstration of women's football at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Wednesday 3rd January 2024 during the maiden Halimatu Ayinde 7-a-side Women’s Cup Competition in Kaduna.

The breathed air was filled with love and friendship several Kaduna-based players who started their footballing career graced the the inaugural kicked off by the Nigeria international and Rosengard of Sweden midfielder, Halimatu Ayinde, sponsor and admirer of women's football.

The President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin was among the special guests and dignitaries at the Halimatu Ayinde 7-a-side Competition tagged ‘She Wins’; a theme said to be apt, considering Halima Ayinde's determination that enables her fight all obstacles on the way to her stardom.

In what appeared to be a solid solidarity, several players turned up for the game and they did not disappoint spectators when 7 goals for the 7-aside's first 2 matches were produced from resultant scintillating displays inside the historic turf of Ahmadu Bello Stadium.

"This is interesting, more of this kind of tournament is necessary to further develop women's football in Kaduna state" Some stakeholders endorse the inaugural Halima Ayinde's 7-aside event".

On the final day, winners from the previous games will size up each other in the final of the competition but before then, the three times African Women’s Cup of Nations winner, Nigeria and Rosengard of Sweden midfielder, Halimatu Ayinde will be in action in a novelty match, according to information from the tournament coordinator, Miss Grace John, who congratulated the teams Kada Queens, YSFON Queens, Rising Queens and Wisdom Queens.
