Rev (Dr.) Andrew Duya Congratulates Uba Sani’s Victory At The Supreme Court

 

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Kaduna State governorship candidate at the 2023 general elections, Rev (Dr.) Andrew Duya has congratulated the Governor of the state, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani of the All Progressive Congress (APC) over his victory at the Supreme Court in Abuja on Friday 19 January 2023.

Dr Duya said the victory of the Governor at the Apex court is a well-deserved mandate considering governor Uba Sani as a visionary leader with rural developmental projects deep inside his heart that will have a direct impact on the citizens of the state which the people of the state have begun to enjoy as the dividends of democracy across the state.

His congratulatory message to the Governor was contained in a press statement issued and personally signed by Dr Andrew Duya and made available to newsmen in Kaduna.

He said the essence of politics should be love, good leadership, and a desire to deliver high-quality service to the people, and not stirring hatred among the citizens thereby becoming enemies against one another that will harm the people, that is why we must congratulate Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state for his victory at the Supreme Court Judgment today.

Dr Andrew Duya noted that: once the election was conducted and a winner was announced, it is incumbent and binding on the winner to embrace those who did not win, while those who did not win should join hands with the winner, both should all work together for the development of the state. We can not be political opponents perpetually. Let there be humility in victory and magnanimous in defeat.

Duya advised Governor Uba Sani to use the opportunity to unite the good people of the state who have been divided along ethnic, tribal, and religious inclinations by bridging the gap as substantive governor of the state and continue with the good footing he has started. 

"I charged you as you settled down for good governance, to initiate peoples centered and oriented projects that would have a direct impact on the citizens and fulfill all your campaign promises on the sustain agenda you made at your inaugural speech on the 29th May 2023 by ensuring that you achieve them all.

Dr Duya called on the governor to stretch the hands of fellowship to other political parties to build the state to greater heights because, at the moment, there should be "No Victor, No Vanquish"  for the overall development of the state.

While appealing to the main opposition parties the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), other political parties, and the good people of the state to join hands with the APC-led administration in the state under the leadership of Senator Uba Sani for the overall development and rescue of Kaduna State where ethnic and religious intolerance will be a thing of the past.

Rev'd Dr Andrew Duya said that "peace is a prerequisite for sustainable development, therefore, let every citizen of the state seek peace and pursue it! ". Let everyone imbibe the spirit of peaceful coexistence. "Be your brother's keeper". 

Let us all pray for the governor for good health, a clear mind, focus, great determination, and the ability to fight unnecessary distractions.
