As political parties battle in the February 3 bye-election in Igabi federal constituency, Kudan and Kaduna South local governments as well as a rerun election in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State, Hon. Chairman of Kudan Local Government and ALGON Chairman Kaduna State, Shuaibu Bawa Jaja has expressed confidence of victory at all the elections.
In an interview in Kaduna ahead of the election Hon. Bawa Jaja said they have adopted a holistic strategy for consolidating victory at the polls.
"We are doing our best as local government and committed to educating our voters particularly where this election would take place to ensure a high level of respect for one another after all, we are one big family from one entity".
The ALGON chairman appealed for a sense of maturity during the entire process of the election and assured the people of the state that the rerun and bye-elections would be conducted peacefully.
He said, "His Excellency Governor Uba Sani has informed us that adequate security measures would be in place before, during, and after the elections across the state".
Shuaibu Bawa Jaja called on voters at the polling units affected to turn out en mass and elect the candidates of the All Progressive Congress, (APC).
"In every election, there must be a winner and a loser, so I appeal to both candidates of APC my party, and the PDP to remember that they are brothers from the same ward and the same family, so there is no tension they are the same, hence they should restraint from politics of bitterness and rancor ".
“We are highly confident of achieving victory in those six polling units across three wards Garu, Kauran Wali North, and Kauran Wali South".
