In a riveting showdown at the Trade Fair Conference Center, Kaduna, the 45th edition of the Kaduna International Trade Fair School Quiz Competition witnessed Danbo International School's dynamic duo, Danialla Momoh and Taiye H. Awonuga, emerging victorious.

The reigning champions, Day Science College, Kano, represented by Bashir Mustapha and Umar Usman, faced tough competition from the new winners, ultimately conceding defeat with a margin of 5 points.

Expressing their joy, Taiye Awunoga remarked, "We are delighted for this feat and salute Kano and other opponents for the contest. We are excited and grateful to God for the victory."

Securing the third position was Braintrust School, Kaduna, with an impressive 78 points, closely trailing Day Science College, Kano, by two points and edging out Command Secondary School, Kaduna, which claimed the fourth spot with 77 points.

Dr. Auta Bulus Jamaka, a council member and chairman of the Quiz Competition, acknowledged the challenges faced due to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) warning protest, which impacted the event's school turnout.

He stated, "We are happy that the quiz competition took place at all, knowing the situation in which our country is in, when during the week the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC threatens to go on protest which has grossly affected the turnout for the competition."

Dr. Bulus Jamaka emphasized that the initial plan was to invite a school from each of the six geopolitical zones to participate in the quiz competition this year. He added that the committee is actively seeking sponsors for flagship events at the Trade Fair, having already secured sponsorship for the drug sensitization award and expressing hopes for the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) to sponsor the quiz competition.

In the standings, Alhudahuda Huda College, Zaria, and Federal Government College secured the 5th and 6th positions, respectively, with 74 and 71 points.

The Kaduna International Trade Fair School Quiz Competition continues to be a platform where academic prowess and competitive spirit converge, showcasing the intellectual vibrancy of participating schools.
