Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority Enhances Accountability and Transparency Through Training

In a significant move toward fostering accountability and transparency in the procurement processes, the Management of Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority, (KADPPA) has undergone specialized training. 

The Director General of the Authority, Engr Sanusi Aminu Yero said the 5-day training program is aimed to empower the management team with the latest knowledge and skills in procurement processes, and ethical practices. 


Engr Sanusi Yero who lauded the Kaduna State Office of the Head of Service for facilitating the training, stressed that the state government seeks to optimize procurement procedures, foster accountability, and ensure value for public resources.

"As the authority continues to evolve, citizens can expect a more streamlined and efficient procurement system—one that prioritizes integrity and delivers value for the public ".

"The office of the Head of Service with the approval of His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, deems it fit that the management of KADPPA should be trained first and foremost to have the knowledge they would impart to small and senior staff of the authority ".


"Without fear of contradiction what the Head of Service has done to us we're very happy with it and have identified a consultant firm that practically knows our terrain, our people, and our knowledge "

The KADPPA DG maintained that the management needs to be abreast with the latest training in terms of knowledge to be able to guide their subordinates.

On his part one of the Resource Persons Dr Saifullahi Abdullahi Mazadu explained that the training is aimed at equipping the personnel with essential skills and knowledge, ensuring they adhere to best practices.

He said the Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority plays a pivotal role in regulating, monitoring, evaluating, and auditing the public procurement process across the state.

Dr Saifullahi Mazadu said the initiative underscores Governor Uba Sani's commitment to building a robust and capable workforce, ultimately benefiting the citizens of Kaduna State. 

"By upholding uniform procurement policies, the governor seeks to enhance efficiency and fairness in procurement activities.

"This capacity-building initiative aims to empower them to handle procurement tasks efficiently."

As the training ends, we anticipate positive outcomes that will elevate the state's procurement practices to new heights," Dr Saifullahi added.
