Zakari Haruna - Kaduna

Jos, Plateau State, March 23, 2024 — The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State extends its heartfelt condolences to the Kwo Chiefdom of Kwande, in Qua'an Pan Local Government Area, following the passing of their esteemed Paramount ruler, Miskoom Col. Fidelis Attahiru (Rtd).

In a statement issued from Kalwa House, Yakubu Gowon Way, Jos, the APC expressed shock and grief over the sudden demise of the paramount ruler.

"Col. Attahiru's passing is not only a loss to the Goemai nation but also to the entire State, given his distinguished background as a retired senior military officer, a successful businessman, and an astute administrator."

Despite the relatively short duration of his reign, Kwo Chiefdom, and by extension, Qua'an Pan Local Government Area, witnessed significant progress in terms of peacebuilding and physical development.

"Col. Attahiru's legacy will endure for his humane approach, warmth, and commitment to the well-being of his subjects and visitors alike, the statement added.

The APC stands in solidarity with the immediate family of the deceased, the Qua'an Pan Traditional Council, and the entire Goemai nation during this time of irreparable loss. "We offer our prayers for the repose of his soul."
