No fewer than 100 orphans have benefited from food items and clothing donations from a Kaduna state-based NGO called Ummul Amatullah as part of Ramadan palliative.
Speaking during the presentation of the items, the founder and National president of the Foundation Malama Hauwa Usman Abubakar said that she shared the items with them to reduce the economic hardship they are going through.
She said that the Foundation has about 473 orphans under her care, adding that the Foundation has been doing this gesture over the years and the aim of the gesture, was to put simile in the faces of the orphans.
The founder stated that most of the beneficiaries of this gesture hailed from the Sanusi, Askuwalaye, and Badikko Sabon Gari areas.
Hauwa added that since the commencement of Ramadan fasting, the Foundation also shared Iftar meals to those in need in the state.
She then called on the mothers of the orphans to ensure their upbringing so that to avoid the orphans being a nuisance in society as well as, to enroll them, especially in government and Islamic schools to be leaders of tomorrow.
Some of the food items shared with the orphans include Maize Spaghetti, etc.
