Members of the Northern Caucus of the House of Representatives expressed solidarity as they paid a visit to the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, in response to the unfortunate spate of killings in the state. 

The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Caucus, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, aimed to extend condolences and support to both the Governor and the affected citizens.

In a statement released by the Secretary of the Caucus, Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, the group unequivocally condemned the recent killings in Plateau State, describing the acts as "barbaric, senseless, and vicious," they emphasized the incompatibility of such violence with the values of a harmonious society.

The lawmakers affirmed their commitment to actively contribute to promoting peace in the region. Hon. Gagdi asserted, "In our capacity as lawmakers, we will play our parts with vigor to support institutions and individuals in their roles to ensure lasting peace in our region." 

The statement underscored the determination of the Caucus to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to prevent the recurrence of such tragic incidents.

Hon Gagdi further declared that the Northern Caucus would not permit the repetition of such atrocities in their locality. He called upon everyone to collectively commit to safeguarding the sanctity of human lives, emphasizing the shared responsibility in preserving the well-being of the community.

The visit and the subsequent statement reflect a united front against violence, with the Northern Caucus pledging to actively engage in initiatives that foster peace and security in Plateau State and the broader Northern region.
