The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has issued a stern warning to its former National President, Dr Honour Sirawoo, urging him to promptly return all documents and property belonging to the association.

In a letter dated April 17, 2024, SWAN's Secretary-General, Amb. Ikenna Okonkwo, emphasized the critical importance of these items for the effective operation of the association.

The letter specifically listed the documents and property expected to be returned, including the Original CAC Certificate of SWAN, details of appointed patrons of the association, and any other assets belonging to the National Secretariat.

Addressing Sirawoo directly, the letter stated: "You were ordinarily meant to properly hand over these items immediately after the Triennial Congress on July 13, 2023, which marked the end of your tenure."

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, SWAN has set a deadline of seven days from the date of the letter for the return of the items. This deadline was imposed due to the pressing need for these documents and property at the association's Secretariat.

SWAN emphasized the importance of swift action in ensuring the seamless continuation of its operations and called upon Sirawoo to comply with the directive without delay.
