Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa Honored with National SWAN's Philanthropy of the Year Award

Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa OON, (Makaman Bichi), has been conferred with the prestigious title of Philanthropy of the Year by the National Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) at the National SWAN Full Council Meeting. 

The award was presented by the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by the Commissioner of Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwanso, and the NFF President, represented by the Director in charge of Football Associations in NFF, Dr. Sani Ali.

The event, held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the luxurious Global Luxury and Suites in Kano State, recognized Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa's outstanding contributions to sports development and youth empowerment in the state and the nation at large. 

For over three decades, he has been a beacon of support for sporting activities in Kano State and Nigeria, nurturing young talents and fostering a culture of sportsmanship.

As a Grand Patron of SWAN Kano State Chapter for over a decade, Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the advancement of sports journalism and the promotion of sporting excellence in the state. His generosity, vision, and leadership have significantly impacted the sporting landscape, setting a benchmark for others to emulate.

The SWAN Full Council Meeting, where Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa was recognized, represents the highest level of decision-making within the association. 

The conferment of the Philanthropy of the Year award upon him is a testament to his tireless efforts, philanthropy, and dedication to the betterment of sports and the youth in Kano State and beyond.
