Emir of Zuru Urges Unity and Brotherhood Among Citizens




The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Sani Sami, has called on the people of Zuru extraction to unite and remain a strong and indivisible entity. 

He made this call through a representative at the 10th Annual Memorial Lecture in honor of Late Nathaniel Zome, the First Sarkin Yakin Zuru, held in Kaduna.

The Emir advised the citizens to be their brother's keepers, regardless of their location, and to shun rumors and squabbles that could cause disaffection. 

He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in achieving greater heights for the Zuru Emirate.

Professor Shehu Abdullahi delivered a memorial lecture, describing Late Nathanial Zome as a man who demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to the betterment of the Zuru Emirate. 

He noted that Zome believed in the principle of equality and initiated the Uhola Cultural Festival, which celebrates the rich history and traditions of the Zuru people.

Air Vice Marshal Bala Riba, National President of Zuru Emirate Development Society (ZEDS), extolled the virtues and contributions of Late Sarkin Yakin Zuru, identifying the Zuru people as peaceful and hardworking. 

He added that they have contributed significantly to the development of Nigeria in various professions and fields.

Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah, former Senator representing Zuru Federal Constituency, urged the citizens to maintain their good name as law-abiding citizens and shun acts that could polarize them. He expressed optimism that with their support and cooperation, the Zuru Emirate would attain greater heights.

Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, serving Senator representing Zuru Federal Constituency, urged the citizens to be self-dependent and aspire to clinch positions to make progress in life. 

He noted that they are currently lagging behind in active participation in politics, businesses, and other fields, and emphasized the need for an attitudinal change to achieve success.

Engineer Dennis Aiki Birnin Tudu, newly inaugurated Kaduna State branch chairman of ZEDS, enjoined all Zuru people living in the state to support their emirate and pledged to take the Zuru Emirate to an enviable height for the benefit of the indigenes.
